The story began in 2011 when we firstly launched our Super-Grip half soles and raw cord full soles. Ever since we’ve been providing high quality and heritage-inspired rubber soles for the boot-makers and cobblers worldwide.

With all the supports, we keep growing and seeing more and more boots equipped with Dr. Sole Originals rubber soles. We are not a major player, but we are honored to be said that we do change the game.
 
They are built on our signature Pioneer last which might look slim, narrow, and flat at the first glance, but it still ensures efficient room inside the boots. The profile and shape of the Pioneer last are just perfect for the lace-to-toe design of Game Changer boots. The Pioneer last plays an important role in helping us recurring the vibe of the vintage sports boots.
 
The leather selection is the top grade nubuck leather. The velvet-like nubuck leather will age uniquely and beautifully with wear. Most people don’t have many boots made of nubuck leather. But the texture and aging result of nubuck leather is just fascinating and we love it! If you haven’t got a chance to try nubuck boots and are looking for some pair, this is the pair.
 
They are Goodyear welted (of course they are) and equipped with our Super-Grip full soles. Thus, they are resole-able and guaranteed to last a long time!
 
Here is another reason making the Game Changer boots even more special and meaningful. Our past boot collections of Pioneer brand, are all the collaborations with other boot brands worldwide, such as Viberg, White’s, Russell Moccasins, Unmarked, and so on. The Game Changers are the first boots that are not a collaboration with other major brands in the game. Instead, we nearly build the boots from the scratch by sourcing the most of the materials, such as the leather, hardware, and so on, supervising the upper-making, and most importantly, finishing the bottom at our workshop in Taipei with the same criteria of our famous bench-re-built resole service. They cannot be mass-produced as we are a small team with limited machineries. But that’s also why we can state that every pair of Game Changer is still bench-made by artisans.

To mark the 10th Anniversary of Dr. Sole Originals, it is our pleasure to announce that we are releasing the latest boots, Game Changer, under our house brand, Pioneer.

Inspired by a pair of leather sports boots circa 1920s from our archive, Game Changer retains the timeless lace-to-toe design.

We re-engineered the upper design with less and simpler patterns to give them a cleaner and neater appearance.

They are only available in one width, which fits like D width.We recommend to go up half a size from the Red Wing sizing if your feet width is D or above.
For example, of your Red Wing size is 9E, please pick 9 1/2 for the Game Changer. If your feet are narrower width,such as C or narrower, you may select the same size as your Red Wing. They are available in us 7-12, including halves.
